BlackBerry has launched the Z3 in India for a price tag of Rs. 15,990. The BlackBerry Z3 runs on BB 10 OS and will hit the stores from July 2nd. It will be first available online and will reach the retails stores later. Priced at Rs 15,990, the Z3 is the first device to come out of BlackBerry’s 5-year deal with Foxconn to manufacture smartphones running on the BlackBerry 10 platform. It is also the most affordable all-touch BlackBerry smartphone the company has ever launched.
In terms of specifications,the Z3 houses the qualcomm snapdragon MSM8230 dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz.It is a 5-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) display with a pixel density of 220ppi.The BlackBerry Z3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 dual-core processor with Adreno 305 GPU, coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage, of which only 4GB is available to users but there is a microSD card slot.The handset also includes a 1.1MP secondary camera and 5MP primary camera. Rear camera is with LED flash support and can shoot 1080p videos. Important features are 3G (HSPA+), 2G (EDGE/GPRS), Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS / Autonomous, Simultaneous GPS with BB Maps, Bluetooth 4.0 and DLNA. There is a massive 2,500mAh battery as well, which BlackBerry claims is good enough for 15 hours of talktime.
